The Following Service are WAB trained :Originally posted by SBS2671B:So means to say the ARBP will have no B9TL?
The arbp indian BC of 65 once told me in January that arbp 65 drivers have apparently undergone WAB training and 65 will have B9TL on the arbp side somewhere in March/April. looks like arbp aint gonna get its share of B9TLs![]()
all hg BCs are trained this makes hgdep easier to deploy cameo B9TLs to its ADD routes...anyway in future all buses have to be WAB...so it doesnt really matter if they are trained now or later..in fact the sooner the betterOriginally posted by sBs_boy:The Following Service are WAB trained :

all BCs will be WAB trained, lets just hope that if Volvo B9TL do not have anymore new fleets to give ARBP, really hope some the new Scania WAB SDs be given to ARBPOriginally posted by SBS2671B:So means to say the ARBP will have no B9TL?

Let's don't hope ok ? There will be LO 3 axles replacements which means DD replacements so don't worry about that ok ? Whether new scania WAB sds will be given to ARBP will all depends on the svc. Eventually SBST will be a full WAB fleet.Originally posted by BusSpeeder:all BCs will be WAB trained, lets just hope that if Volvo B9TL do not have anymore new fleets to give ARBP, really hope some the new Scania WAB SDs be given to ARBP
will they upgrade those current low floor buses to WAB? like e.g the CNGs, DT, B10TLs?Originally posted by Airbus330Captain:Let's don't hope ok ? u need to broaden ur mind away from amk...there are otehr areas in singapore..doesnt mean u live at that area mean u only shld haven a narrowminded knowledge of the amk and amdep area...dun be a jing di zhi waOriginally posted by BusSpeeder:these are mostly from HGDEP but with no perm B9TL if im not wrong.
for AMDEP, without B9TL perm:
166(B9TL mostly from BBDEP)
Dont think itz possible with the amount of money involved to modify them to be WAB.Originally posted by SBS9888Y:will they upgrade those current low floor buses to WAB? like e.g the CNGs, DT, B10TLs?
you pay i dont mind. dont think low floor bus = chance of installing a wheelchair ramp. Do you know that you have to change the entire floorboard, install the ramp, install bells, backrest, railings, removal of seats if neccessary, install an alert button on the driver's console.. bla bla bla bla bla........Originally posted by tintinspartan:I agree that all low floor buses will be upgraded with a manual wheelchair ramp.![]()
don't assume. they will have to take off the poles at the exit and also take out some parts of the bus.Originally posted by tintinspartan:I agree that all low floor buses will be upgraded with a manual wheelchair ramp.![]()
SBST will be a full WAB fleet company, but SMRT won't think much about WAB i guess. at least until a few years later.Originally posted by Airbus330Captain:Let's don't hope ok ? The new buses SMRT tendered for HAVE TO be WABs. So what do you think?Originally posted by BusSpeeder:SBST will be a full WAB fleet company, but SMRT won't think much about WAB i guess. at least until a few years later.
Someone once wrote to ST forum complaining about the step as well as the rear-facing seats.Originally posted by carbikebus:Volvo B9TL is one of the excellent buses that SBST ever bought,The only weakness are from the lower deck that is after the step.Pax would never stand there,The aisle is too narrow. The best acceleration DDs,Nice design,Cheerful interior,I love especially upper deck
Hmm ... I dont think you can do much to the chassis . The chassis itself isnt fully low floor in the first place. The product that Volvo currently offers with a full flat floor is the B9L , with minimal or no steps at all .Originally posted by SBS3625D:Someone once wrote to ST forum complaining about the step as well as the rear-facing seats.
SBST replied that the rear has a step because of engine cavity as well as the other components. As for the rear-facing seats, it was because of the position of the central axle.
B9 Have been on all HGDEP DD routes already.Originally posted by tintinspartan:B9TLs are going everywhere on HGDEP routes. I just saw one on 89, another one on 62, again! What's the next service to get them? (NO PERM B9TLs)
The plan is to have a full WAB fleet in the future and not now, so there is no need to spend money to convert buses to WAB.Originally posted by SBS9888Y:will they upgrade those current low floor buses to WAB? like e.g the CNGs, DT, B10TLs?
