REVIEWS: A&K Victor Albion VT17AL
The sudden launch of the Victor Albion VT17AL on 31st January has gotten Hong Kong bus fans excited and many are scrambling to grab a piece to keep as memento.
Not expected to be out so soon as expected roll out is between Feb & Jun 2014.
The VT17AL is a mainstay of KMB in the earlier years in the 60s, this is the FIRST RELEASE of the this model and it is an entirely new mould.
The earlier release of VT23AL by Cars Workshop is another make, mould which makes this model even more treasured as VT23AL was released in 2003.
Definitely a keepsake for serious bus model collectors! -
NEWS:
In addition to Hong Kong operating the Victor Albion VT17AL, Singapore Traction Company also used the Victor Albion FT39L bus(which is similar in design to the VT17AL), the company was later absorbed and formed Singapore Bus Service in 1978, all the assets were taken over by SBS.
The Victor Albion FT39L version is a one door bus, the lower portion of the front windscreen in front of the bus driver can be opened for ventilation, the other windscreen is a full panel.
Another reason to get this collector's item! -
