which guitar shop to recommend? swee lee ah? for acoustic steel guits... there's only one place i really really like... sinamex... once you've tried a taylor you don't really wanna put it down... sigh... the tone is damn sweet, and yet you get clarity... but no marnie to buy...

[/b]hm....i have totally no idea...but i tink...the guitar shop at plaza sing not bad...and... i bought my guitar at peninsular plaza...cant remember which shop...peninsular plaza like.....maze sia~lol...i changed my guitar strings once oni.... n some more...not i change de...my fren help me change de...i din see how he did it...so...now i got every prob wif changin strings n choosing one.... -

hahah choosing and changing strings is easy. a few things to consider lor.. are you happy with the way your strings play? that is, the "hardness" or "softness"? can change that by buying a different guage or brand. take a look at the string packaging, it will have the string thickness printed down. heavier strings will give you better projection, volume and tone, but it'll be harder to play, esp if you bend a lot... then, it depends on whether you like the tone of your existing strings.. if you're playing mostly accompaniment, wound steels should be fine.. kaman has this set called "silk and steel", that uses a silk core instead of steel for the wound strings, so you get a softer bass tone, good for soloing or fingerstyle, if you ask me.
changing strings quite easy, once you see it, you'll never forget it... couple of things to do when your strings are off also.. give the fingerboard a good cleaning.. check the saddles for any burring (mine had). does your strings pinch in the nut? if it does, a temp solution would be to use a pencil and draw the slots (graphite is a good lubricant). then get a cheap string winder.. and you're set.. i'm the meticulous type, and it takes me about 15 minutes to change my strings.. most people are much faster...

hehehe i got a guitar for years liao n i learn till half way stop liao coz no more kaki , mayb we can meet up n play lor since staying near near nia. i just knw basic chord. and some bar chord too chem one i dunno -
