Got once ....
I received a call : " Park Mall , main road . Mr.XXXX "
So i proceed ....
Before reaching , saw that guy with phone , *ting* job cancelled .
Immediately when TAXI turned green , this cheapo flag for me .
So i stop , tell him : " Pls wait at taxi stand ."
I said : " i got call "
He said : "But u TAXI , uncle ."
I added : " Yes just got cancell , u still have to Q there ."
*ting* , here you go .
Fuck them la , i ruthless one , never give a damn to cheapos .
Too clever , makes them really stupid .

strange but true... i have not kena things like this before. my jobs are all cancelled coz either tio hijack by cheapo TD or took a longer time to reach pick up location.
my last cancelled job was at hitachi tower 8 pm plus. Turn into telegraph street nia cancelled, reason , last friday nite - cheapo TDs plenty. phui

To all those pax out there who abuse the system or may abuse or ever abused the booking system... Every dog has its day!

If reached destination job cancelled or no show, i will press the Busy buttom and drove off to about 100 meter than press for hirer.

If cabbies have a common stand. Those farkers will not play these games. Interesting, some cabbies do pickup from the same spot after "call cancelled" or "noshow". For them..."since I'm already there why not ?" Had seen some cabbies reverse back to the taxi queue to pickup. Is not for me to say right or wrong, different cabbies different style ! To each his own.

i drove for so long also did not know of this tactic , it is thru here that i became aware of it.
All those earnings broadcasters who post their blah blah blah $XXXXXXXXXXXX how much how much... whats there to learn from all that?? only attracting unecessary attention. how lian + bo nao thats all i can say.

Agreed with you.Today's taxi business is so competitive. People like us trying very hard to earn a decent living by risking our health, (sometimes our lives) to earn just that few dollars ($2.50 to $3.50) by taking calls and to reach the destination asap. Yet these pax play us out. How do one feel?
Whatever it is, its a chicken and egg prob in Singapore taxi business. It will be there forever. We can't solve this. TDs accuse pax. Pax blame TDs... etc etc.. Since we can't solve this, might well join the prob. Be a bastard, calculative, choosy, nasty taxi driver lor!

Once got a job cancell at that location , guys pls la , give that location a miss .
Let them wait , and call again .
See if they dare do the dirty tricks on us again .

me last week while queuing at classified area got 1 very swee comfort call , pick up : one fullerton taxi stand , destination : pan pacific hotel , taxi required : 4 , i immediately press 3mins and chiong there , reach there within 1-2 mins , when i reach outside the taxi stand , *ting cancelled , wtf , impossible that they able to find 4 taxis in 1-2 mins cos i see the queue at the taxi stand got at least 20+ people, i just drive out and immediately got another booking from LV going to conrad hotel only ... haha ...

mine is not fullerton hotel , is one fullerton taxi stand , not many taxi will notice this taxi stand cos hidden inside de... thats y tio cancelled make me even more hot...

They just want to trick TDs there to pickup. They know the timing that oncall taxis are about to reach. Call Cancelled I will drive off. How many waiting in the queue is none of my business. I don't play this game with them.

But guys , sometimes it's like that scenario .... Just an example .
3 friends ..... need 3 taxis .
So they call comfort , listen to music .
So 2nd one call Transcab , 3rd one call Lake View .
1st still music , 2nd no answer , 3rd one on Lake View , all 3 taxis arrived in 5 minutes .
By the time , 1st also got a confirmation , but then , Comfort can press 9 to cancell , u call Lake View , maybe scared kena F*ck for cancelling , taxis all on the way , 1 also no need ? so they cancell Comfort .
Convenient ma comfort .

copy n paste from taxiuncle.com Oncall booking cancelled happened during my first month of driving. call job at JW, pick up at lift lobby... reach in 2 mins . No pax in sight, so send msg. After awhile call the pax cell phone...no one pick up. Timeup press CALL. MDT reply 'call out unsuccessful". After awhile press 'noshow' n move off . More than 10 mins wasted. When about to exit carpark into main road, a young lady flag me. I picked her. Pax: waited so long to get cab. Park Royal Beach Road can U drive faster I'm late. Td : I was here for call job but pax missing. Pax: I call for cab but did not arrive. Td: : My cab right? Pax: No! not your taxi number. my sixth sense tell me she is the pax that call. Where got pax wait at carpark exit for cab? Unless she saw me going in. Main road chances to get cab higher.. When stop at traffic light...I redial the pax cell phone. Her cell phone ring. I observe her reaction from the rear view mirror.. She looked at me. I said to her "I called". Dont believe can call again. After that conversation stop until reach destination. Fare $17 plus. Give me $20 n keep the change. I did not say thank you. WTF wasted my 10 mins n got the cheek to ask me to drive faster. If she pay me the exact metered fare ...I will call her on her cell phone to "congratulate" her. Hirer had told me not to pickup fm "call cancelled" place. I thought she was not the called pax as it was quite a distant fm her block. When I reach home I check street directory. THAT WAS THE NEAREST EXIT FM HER BLOCK TO MAIN ROAD".

my top boycott place is 1 of the hotel along beach road since few months back after i had some arguement with that stupid bellboy... i will not take their booking no matter how swee the destination is n how near am i to the hotel ... send paxs in got no choice , but i will not take any paxs out from there ...

Taxi company shd charge at least $1 or 50cents for every call they make to their phone bill.....
