Is Aprilia Worth it?

Hi. I'm new to all this.
Will be getting my license soon.
Can anyone give me advice on Aprilia RS 125? Coz I've heard from many friends that it's not worth it. Maintenance is high, everything is steep. How expensive does it get?
Can any Aprilia riders give me advice too?

I'm thinking of getting either a used RS 125 or a used NSR 150SP.
But my preference is the Aprilia. Only thing stopping me is the maintenance and repair and fuel cost.
An Aprilia with 5 yrs left is up for grabs at $2.5k to $3k. Quite tempting. Whereas the Honda with a FR plate is abt $4.7k.

Does any know what kind of difference in costs of maintenance is there if I get an Aprilia? How much do I have to fork out for the maintenance and stuff?

it really depends on the condition of the bike when you bought it. as a precaution, set aside 1k for repairs and misc problems that can occur during your ownership of the bike.

u mus have spare cash for it. And when i mean spare cash, i mean cash that u dun mind burning them. hehehe.

Aprilia Rider : Do you find it difficult to maintain your bike? Are the parts expensive?
I'll be going for my TP in Jan. So, I'm sourcing for information about the bike. But I'm worried that I might not be able to support the bike if there's a need to replace parts or stuff.
This kinda of uncertainty really sucks. Need more help. Thanks. -
Aprilla and Mito are pure racing breed. Not meant for roads in singapore. Their parts are also higher standards than normal bikes. Another thing to take note, Japanese bikes are easier to repair in singapore. I set my own target to get a harley-sportster in less than 5yrs but the same situation occurs.

What about when we compare RS125 with NSR150SP? How much of difference does it make?
How mcuh are we talking about when it comes to the maintenance and stuff?
The resale value of RS125 of about 5 yrs COE, is about $2.5k, and NSR150SP with FR plate is about $4.3k. It's about $2k difference. Does this difference add up? -

every bike has its own good and bad points lar.
theres no one perfect bike for all.
think abt ur riding habits first, try the bike then u slowly decide.
althought rs125 may be ex. but the fairings can tahan a lot.
i took the rs mainly becoz of is looks and that the other bikes are too light for me.
i tend to wobble a lot on light bikes.
so decided not to take anything else.
look at how long u intend to ride it lor and slowly think.

aprilia <--- parts expensive , service charges high at most motortiam , good for corners , bad for straights ,old bike tends to have problem everynow and then
nsr150sp <--- parts cheap , service charges so so , bad for corners , good for straight ,new bike
But if you are those kind who are into corners get a aprilia where else if you are going to upgrape to 2A bike then forget bout this two bikes ... what matters most here is that BUY THE BIKE THAT YOU REALLY LIKE
The a/m in bold have been a very hot topic on racetrack forums to newbies so pls do some research by going thru all the previous postings,by doing so you will know what we have post bout the two bikes you have mentioned ... you will gain some info from there
And i would like to stress to all new rider out there ... DUN BE ANXIOUS ABOUT GETTING A BIKE AS IT WILL NOT BENEFIT YOU IN FUTURE
