Wednesday night .
Around 10pm .
03 received a booking call : " Orchard tower > Clarke Quay ."
After 3 attempts , no taxi still .
Then 03 said if urgent , can try calling Beach Road , if still cannot , try up the booking rate to $5 .
The caller actually said , i'll pay $100 for a cab now .
03 manage to get a taxi for him , very quick response , but that cb ang more said : " I don't need a taxi now ."
That is why ....taxi drivers must be ruthless one .
These days there are gtting more smelly ang mors who behaved worst than the local smelly legs.
Then what about you guys? normal booking don't want to take...
His dick no steam liao ma....
No wonder so urgent la
That day one ang-moh shouted at me in my taxi when I was looking for his destination thru my GPS phone. I do not know where Riverside point was. Even I apologised to him that I do not know the place and need to refer and double confirm before I set off..
He expected I should know the way there, and command me to move off asap.
I looked up, my meter haven't sw on. So I told him: " Sir, since you are not sure, I am not sure, you dun waste my time, I dun waste yours. Pls call another cab. ok?"
I sw off engine immediately and the inside temp shot up becos it was a hot sunny noon. He lan lan... bang the door.
Few seconds later, He saw me picked up one lady few meter away... and he walked back to take cover under the shade.
This Chow-Ang-Moh (young, about late 20s) came out from No 90, Amoy St.
Not all ang-moh are bad. There are good and understanding one who understand TD's hardworking and stressful working environment.
There are those who said:
"Start the meter! dun worry! I'll be out in 2 mins time" --- Understand time is money.
"You can detour a bit.. dun worry it will be further, as long as I can reach there. Tks"
"Tks for stopping for me"
"Sorry for coming down late. Thank you"
"Thank you very much Sir!"
"Make it $20"
etc..

On reaching Bencoolen st, he said he had cancelled the booking & he refused to pay the booking charge. further more he is experienced bastard, he asked me to stop near the bus stop B4 Ibis hotel knowing I can’t argued with him for long.

Let them wait , and call again .
Thanks for sharing the ur story, annata. I find that ah nei all trouble makers most of the time.
Those Ah Nehs huh....
Last time, when I work at Terminal 2 as trolley retriever (this is more than 20 years ago), part of my job is to recover trollies at the taxi stand. We will try to make extra tips by help passengers / taxi uncles to load the luggages into the boot.
Ang Mo and Indonesians are the best when giving tips.
But, when it comes to Ah Nehs huh, we will just stand around until the taxi drives off before we will proceed to keep the trolley. No point helping them at all. They will just assume that it's part of your job. Worked there for about 4 months before going back to school and I NEVER receive any tips from an Ah Neh before. Not even once...

Next time, drive him all the way to a taxi stand/ stop, like one outside the bayview hotel

Those Ah nehs practise their cb class system in india. so they thought they can bring it here and use it.
Another thought is they probably know they are the most disliked lot so they think what the heck , might as well be nasty lor. hahaha
in fact the nicest ah nehs are those bangla workers. although they dont tip , at least they dont give trouble. sometimes when i take em , i will deduct the cents and round down or give a $1 off. you can see that they are very grateful & will say thank u very much uncle.
